PAs I did a skincare favourites last week I wanted to do an updated nail care favourites post this week as my nails are in a lovely condition at the moment thanks to a few wonderful products, I don’t think I’ve ever seen them so long!
Models Own 4 Way Nail Buffer – I bought this at Clothes Show last year (they’ve since changed the design) and have been using it fortnightly (or trying to) ever since. It’s a great way to add a natural shine to your nails, perfect for when you’re trying to improve their condition and are going nail varnish free for a while.
Morrison’s Nail Files – My Mother, sorry Father Christmas, puts these in my stocking each year and they’re a perfect addition to my nail kit or handbag. I love all of the different designs they do, they’re so much nicer than a plain nail file or emery board, they last a while too. This glitter doesn’t come off everywhere either which is a bonus!
BruzZ Nailbrush* – It’s safe to say that my old nail brush has been thrown out since receiving this one, it’s so much nicer to use and I know I have this to thank for the massive improvement in the condition of my nails. This brush is much more hygienic than other nail brushes as due to the shape it minimalises the spray you often get on your shower screen or mirror which is full of dirt or bacteria. It’s so gentle on my nails and the bristles are vanilla scented, what more could you ask for in a nail brush?
No7 Nourishing Nail and Cuticle Care – I bought this with Boots vouchers last year as I had heard great things about No7’s nail care products but I was yet to try any for myself. I use this after removing nail polish to nourish and moisturise my nails and cuticles. It’s really kind to your nails so can be used daily and it’s hypo-allergenic so is great for sensitive skin.
Orly Tough Cookie (not pictured) – Anyone that follows me on Twitter will know that this has been a go to product for me for a while now. I use this as a top coat and I can’t get over the shine it creates, it gives a salon finish to the most basic colours and polishes.
Nail HQ Strengthener* – I’ll be doing a full post on Nail HQ Treatments next week but I wanted to include their Strengthener in my favourites post. My nails had already grown quite long but they tend to get to a certain point and all break at once, I can never seem to keep my nails long as I suffer with soft and brittle nails. I wore this for just over a week without any other polish putting a new coat on every three days and my nails have never been stronger. I’m going to continue using this as a base coat in the future and hope the strength of my nails keep improving; I was actually asked if my nails were real the other day which was such a compliment.
Avon Cocoa Butter Hand Cream – I bought this two weeks ago and I am in love. I had to include it in this post; although it’s not ‘nail care’ – what’s nice nails without lovely hands right? These hand creams were on offer for 3 for £3 at Avon last month when they’re usually £3.60 each, what a deal! I can’t get enough of Cocoa Butter, I just reminds me of summer and holidays, isn’t it great how a scent can do that? This is a lovely formula, it leaves your hands soft and moisturised but doesn’t leave them oily and not wanting to touch your laptop for an hour after applying it, well done Avon.
What are you current nail care favourites? Have you tried any of the products I’ve included in this post? Which is your favourite?
