I’ve been using my Magnitone* for 7 days now, so it’s time to let you know how my 7 day challenge has gone! A couple of weeks ago, just before I went to Portugal, I took part in a Bloggers Hub Twitter Party in which Magnitone got involved with too and I was one of the lucky ones to be gifted a Magnitone Lucid. I had a dispatch confirmation whilst I was in Portugal so I knew it would be waiting for me when I got home and I couldn’t wait to start using it.
I thought I was quite late to discover facial brushing but I was surprised how many members of my family/friends hadn’t heard of it whatsoever. I’d seen Magnitone advertised in my monthly magazines, in Harvey Nichols stores and on Facebook once Pixie Lott became involved and already knew that the Magnitone was the one I wanted to try when I did finally get round to giving facial brushes a go. I’m a long term sufferer of blemished, blotchy skin, the main problem areas being my cheeks and chin and there seems to be nothing that makes my skin better or worse, I have honestly tried everything over the years, even prescribed treatments from the doctor when it was at it’s worst.
I was impressed with my Magnitone from the second I opened the box, I loved the ‘Dazzling Blue’ colour I had chosen and it was much smaller than I was expecting which meant it was easy to hold in my tiny hands and wouldn’t take up much room in my bag if I was to take it away with me. It was already full charged so I could get using it right away, I’ve been using it twice a day for 7 days now and it’s still got plenty of charge as I think each charge is meant to last up to two weeks.
I wanted to start using it to remove my make-up in the evening and reached out on Twitter to ask what the best product was to use with it in order to remove make-up, I had quite a few suggestions but someone said about using a cleansing milk which I knew I had somewhere. I was also told by around five people NOT to use a foaming cleanser with a face brush as it had caused their skin to go dry and flaky which was good to know before I went ahead and did it. I used it in this way for a couple of days before I decided to remove my make-up with my Micellar Water as I usually would and then use my Magnitone and Olay Cleansing Milk afterwards as an extra. I thought it would work better to remove any leftovers rather than trying to remove my entire make-up with it, I was right. I was shocked to see how much make-up was still on my face after ‘removing’ it and this is what I’d been sleeping with on my face for the last decade, or more.
As well as using my Magnitone in the evening, I also used it in the morning to massage my Olay Complete Care Day Cream into my skin, since doing this I have noticed that my make-up has been staying put for much longer. The Magnitone has two settings; a deep clean and a sensitive setting, I started off using it on the deep clean setting but soon moved onto the sensitive setting as it was starting to hurt a little but and I didn’t want it to become too abrasive on my skin, especially as I was using it twice a day.
I really have noticed SUCH a difference after using this and I think long term this may become my ‘skin saviour’. I did get some new spots come up on my chin whilst using it but they didn’t stick around anywhere near as long as they would have before I started using the Magnitone, they didn’t get to the really red, swollen stage either which I was pleased to see. This has become a staple in my skincare routine and it takes just one minute, morning and night.
The Magnitone Lucid retails at £69.99 but you can get it for just £55.99 with my discount code ‘Ami20’. Now it’s your turn to try the 7 day challenge!
