Health Update and £180 CHRISTMAS GIVEAWAY!

Hello hello. How are you all? It’s been over a month since my last post and I’m not sure where that time has gone. It’s been so long that I’d even forgotten how to start a new post. I’m writing this as my Internet has finally been sorted. You would have probably seen from my tweets if you follow me on Twitter. For the last 6 months my Internet has not been faster than 0.17mpbs at work, and I’m still waiting for Internet at home. After trying to get it fixed various times, I’d had enough and phoned to leave – it was only then that they offered a fibre connection which has been installed today. I’m now getting 30mbps – for a cheaper price than I was paying for 0.17mbps. Work that one out? I feel over the moon to actually be able to work, edit photos, write, (download Animal Crossing)…

I wanted to write a hopefully little health/life/house update before I go back to posting regular content. And obviously share my Christmas Giveaway with you. For months I have been absolutely exhausted. To a point that I’d be wanting a nap at my desk in the middle of the day, despite sleeping 8+ hours. I felt like I’d tried everything from drinking more water, to exercising, overhauling my diet, sleeping longer, sleeping less. I was getting home from work at 6pm and I could just about manage my daily tasks before collapsing on the sofa. Yet alone consider writing or working on the house. It was beyond ridiculous. I decided to book an appointment for a blood test to check if there was anything causing this extreme tiredness and was quite quickly diagnosed with Iron and Vitamin B12 deficiency.

As a result I have been taking Iron tablets twice daily and I’ve had 2 out of 5 of my Vitamin B12 shots. I am feeling so much better already. Of course I’m not expecting it to work miracles straight away but that little bit of extra energy has made a world of difference to me. I’m finally able to sit down with a cup of tea and write, without falling asleep at my desk. I’ve even done a lot of baking too!

As for the house, we’ve spent the last couple of weekends working on it after a few months off. The kitchen is very nearly finished. We’ve got about another day to go on it fitting and painting the skirting boards, kitchen plinths and fitting the blinds. And we have a working downstairs toilet too which was important to us to get finished before our families come and stay over Christmas. We’ve even bought a dining room table. All these little things are slowly but surely making it feel like home.

We’ve got a few other things we’re wanting to tick off our “house to-do list” before Christmas is upon us but we’re not going to stress ourselves out about it either. Then next year we’ve got the big job of renovating the main bathroom. Oh my I’m so excited to have a bath again. I’ll be publishing my 2018 “house to-do list” shortly as I know it’ll motivate me to get things done. It’s a very long list though…
