We’re fast approaching Christmas, the days seem to keep whizzing past. It’s hard to believe we’re just 21 days from Christmas and 28 days away from 2015! I’m usually really organised but this year I’m the complete opposite. After trying to figure out what to get everyone for Christmas and looking through various gift guides I thought I would write a Christmas Gift Guide For Her of my own for #Blogmas.

Christmas Gift Guide For Her

Perfume is always a safe option, I don’t think any women would ever say no to perfume. This (Gucci Guilty) is one of my favourites bought for me by my Dad last Christmas. I’d also recommend Diesel ‘Loverdose’ or Armani ‘Ci’. The perfume shop (www.theperfumeshop.com) always have a good selection with some unbeatable deals.

Christmas Gift Guide For Her

These may be “sooo last year” but I think they make a great present. You can now buy them for as little as £34 with hundreds of colours to chose from to make sure you get her favourite colour. They’re great watches, perfect for everyday use to adding a little pop of colour to a plain outfit. They’re currently 50% off at The Watch Shop.

Christmas Gift Guide For Her

You can never go wrong with a personalised mug. Almost everyone drinks some form or hot drinks whether it be tea, coffee, hot chocolate or soups, everyone needs ‘their’ mug. I’ve got my fair share of mugs dotted around at Mothers/Boyfriend/Friends houses. These two were brought from Tesco earlier this year and they currently have some great Christmas mugs. Starbucks bring out Christmas mugs each year too which I just have to buy! (www.starbucks.co.uk)

Christmas Gift Guide For Her

I went to my first “Partylite” Party the other week and now feel like I’ve been missing out. Although I must admit that some items seemed a bit pricey for what there were. But there were also some great deals to be had in their Christmas/Autumn catalogue. I brought this set of Reindeer/Deer tealight holders for £13.95 for the pair which I didn’t think was too bad. You can shop most products online but I’d recommend having a Partylite Party to anyone. It was great fun and it was nice to see and smell the products before you bought them. These are pictured with Shearer Candles’ Orange and Cinnamon Tealights which smell absolutely divine!

Christmas Gift Guide For Her

On the subject of Candles. The Yankee Store now have their Christmas/Festive range in stock; I couldn’t choose just one or two so I brought nearly the entire range. ‘Snowflake Cookie’ is definitely one of my favourites along with ‘Fireside Treats’ which smells like roasted marshmallows. I usually buy the waxes instead of the big jars as you then get a chance to try different ones.

Christmas Gift Guide For Her

My family almost always end up getting something from Body Shop (www.thebodyshop.co.uk) with their Christmas or Birthday presents as it’s such a ‘loved by all’ brand. They have the perfect gift for almost every generation especially their hand creams are always a winner for my Mother or Grandma. I brought this one for myself yesterday and it really does smell good enough to eat!

I hope this Christmas Gift Guide For Her helps with your Christmas Shopping. I’d love some more ideas.

Until next time,

I’m sorry I’ve been quiet on the blog for the last 2 weeks but we’ve got a new addition to the family. We’ve got a gorgeous puppy called Milo. I know some of you were probably thinking then “oh my has she had a baby?” but Milo is just as good as and just as hard work as at the moment. Sorry for the lack of “decent” photos but I’ve left my camera in the office (with my SD card in) and didn’t want to wait to do this post.

Milo is a Brindle and White French Bulldog. I’ve wanted one for years and years but had to wait until my life suited getting a puppy. Now I work for myself and have a massive yard for him to run about in aaaaall day so no leaving him at home. Although, I do need to leave him sometimes because he’s gotten so attached I can’t even go to the toilet without him following me!

This was the journey home from Plymouth, one chilled out puppy or what?

Milo French Bulldog

He helped me paint last week and managed to get it on his paws, nose, back and ear then walk it into the carpet. Not sure if helping is really the word.

Milo French Bulldog

We’ve got him a few coats as it gets really cold at the yard so he needs something to keep him warm. This is one of my favourites but he’s nearly grown out of it already.

Milo French Bulldog

Just look at those ears!

Milo French Bulldog

He definitely thinks he’s human. He sits up in the car and sleeps on his back. What a cutie.

‘Helping’ in the office…

Milo French Bulldog

How blooming cute (and funny) is this. He’s in my godson’s babygrow.

Don’t worry, they’ll be lots more photos of Milo on my posts and twitter as he’s almost always getting up to something stupid. He’s honestly changed our lives and I love him so much already.

What do you think of Milo? Cutie right? I can’t stop snuggling him!

Afternoon readers! I’ve had a busy but fun few weekends here in the Gloucestershire countryside with two of our local Horticulture shows happening one weekend after another. A little insight into Country Life. These are both shows that I’ve been going to since I was little and I love them just the same, if not more now. I feel I’m now able to appreciate the work that goes into organising these shows and the effort that is put in by everyone that enters crafts or produce into the show, understanding that they probably spent the entire year preparing for it!
Country Life
Hawkesbury Horticultural Show is thought to be the longest continually running Horticultural Show in England, running for 129 years without ever being cancelled for war or weather. How impressive is that! I’ve not taken loads of photos and I’m not going to ramble on too much but I thought it would be nice to write about what happens at these shows.

Country Life
This are some of the craft/produce entries at Hawkesbury show. It reminds me of Calender Girls, or Wallace and Gromit – ‘Curse of the Ware-rabbit’ (both great films and if you haven’t watched them then please do, you’ll have some good laughs).  I’ve said I’m going enter next year (probably a cake of some sort) so we’ll see what I can put together and hopefully I’ll be posting about winning next year. Look at the size of these onions! I tried one after the show expecting it to be sooo strong but it wasn’t actually any stonger than a normal onion. Country Life ay.
Country Life
They have a float/fancy dress competition that they get a fair few entries to each year, some of the children’s floats looked great, especially a ‘Frozen’ one that I forgot to photograph.
Country Life
There’s always a falconry show at the event which has been done by the same person for years. His birds were more well behaved this year though. Last year a young falcon flew off and didn’t come back for hours.
Country Life
I love little village shows like this and I love Country Life, I wouldn’t have it any other way. The same people are there year after year and this ice cream van is no exception. This is Sam’s ice cream ‘Marshmallow Mountain’! He chooses something different each year out of over 50. I had a bubblegum sherbet one which made me so hyper. I feel sorry for the parents buying these for their children!
Yesterday was Kingswood Showday, held in the village I was brought up in. I’ve been to  almost every one they’ve had. This tries to focus on more of a Classic Car Show and there’s always some really nice looking cars there. I wouldn’t mind owning one myself. I may be bias thought considering it’s what my Uncle does as a job and I’ve had them around me my entire life.
Country Life
How cute are these? These ducklings that were bred specifically for the show and there was some chicks too. There’s something about baby animals. Any animal that just makes you coo over them like crazy. I didn’t want to give this little one back.
Country Life
This last photo is of my Uncle’s Rover that came second in the classic car show. He also won best display for his three cars (2 Rovers and a TR6) and received a nice big box of beer. My Uncle doesn’t drink so me and my brother got lucky and were able to share it between us. I may be a beauty obsessed girl but a bottle of good beer never goes amiss!

What’s your favourite part of Country Life or living in the country or city?

I thought I’d do the “What’s In My Bag Tag” as I haven’t done it yet and always enjoy reading these posts on others’ blogs. If you haven’t yet done it, please do and tag me in it, I’d love to have a read. I’m currently using this gorgeous Ted Baker Handbag from Ted Baker’s SS13 range. And have been since January when my wonderful other half gave it to me for my 21st Birthday. What good taste he has [I definitely didn’t choose it myself *rolls eyes*]. I love this bag but it’s not ideal to use everyday as the leather is so soft it’s all scratched on the back and looks a mess. I’m hoping there’s something I can get to take it back to it’s former glory so fingers crossed. [update: there was. See how Ted Baker rectified this].

This Ted Baker Handbag has two looks as you can take off the front pouch which doubles up as a clutch bag. Although I often use this front bit as an iPad case as it fits perfectly. It changes the bag completely when it’s off though so you don’t get bored of the same look. It’s definitely impressive how much a girl can fit into a handbag – embarrassing too though. How much of this do I actually need?

I carry around sooo many things in this Ted Baker Handbag that I probably don’t need. But they do come in handy sometimes, occasionally, probably never. I’m currently doing a ‘samples only’ few days to trying to always have some sachets with me. And have been carrying around this No7 nail polish with the intention of painting my nails but still haven’t got round to it. This one is ‘Devil’s Delight’ and one of my favourites from their entire range. This little ‘Ginger’ pot is actually a moisturiser (yes I originally thought it was a lip balm too). I’m pretty sure I got it free in a magazine last year. I’m not sure on the brand of it but any moisturiser of this size is perfect for sorting out dry skin.

What's in my Bag - Ted Baker Handbag

A few randoms here. I almost always carry around a hair clip so I can sort my hair out when driving me crazy. This one is from New Look. My Pandora bracelets that I was meant to put on this morning but completely forgot. I’m building up quite a collection now. I love Pandora Charms as each one has a different meaning. All I have to do is look at my bracelets and it makes me smile. A teabag – I’m a Green Tea drinker or fussy tea drinker. I take teabags everywhere with me in case someone doesn’t have the tea I like. High maintenance or what ay! My favourite tea is mentioned in a previous post and is Twining’s Long Jing Green Tea.

Ted Baker Handbag Purse

I wanted this purse for months but couldn’t find it anywhere. So I was over the moon when I found it at the Cheshire Oaks outlet and for half price. I hope this purse lasts forever as I love it so much. I don’t always carry around an umbrella but the weather has been strange in Gloucestershire this week. It’s better to be safe than sorry. My notepad is an essential and goes everywhere with me, it’s perfect for jotting down ideas for my next blog posts. My diary is never far away either, I HAVE to be organised and often fill each day with to-do lists. This is from one of my favourite shops, Paperchase.

Have you done the ‘What’s In My Bag’ Tag? Have you got a favourite Ted Baker Handbag?

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog Ami Rose. I spent weeks, months, trying to come up with the perfect name until I found that the domain www.ami-rose.com was available so I thought, why not? I’ve written blogs in the past; my first blog, started in 2007 was called “Picture Perfect”. I then had another, “Beauty Loves”,  a few years back. I had a break from “Beauty Loves” in the last year of my degree as it all became too much, I even ended up in hospital due to the stress, so when I had the time and motivation to blog again I decided to completely relaunch and start right from the beginning, so that’s where Ami Rose comes in.

Get To Know Ami Rose Blog: The Girl Behind The Blog. 10 Facts About Me

Other than external beauty I’m a fitness fanatic, hooked on the newest sporting trends as well as a major health foodie always cleansing, detoxing but never actually getting that body I dream of [probably because I enjoy baking more than cooking and have never stuck to a diet in my life]. Again, I’m trying…
I’ve decided to start Ami Rose now I have some more time to myself, I’ve always been interested in blogging, I started “blogging” in 2007 before blogging was really a thing. It’s always work work work and blogging helps me to switch off and be in a completely different place. I want to share the latest crazes with you all (I’m always trying different fitness classes) and share my major haul of makeup/skincare/haircare/beauty products as I buy far too many and would love to be able to tell you which ones I’d recommend and which ones I wouldn’t.

10 facts about Ami Rose;
