This is a post I’ve been excited to write for a while. I’ve been behind the scenes working on my monthly fitness challenges for my @crunchesforpizza Instagram. And TODAY is finally the day that I’m able to share the first challenge with you. The Crunchesforpizza Ab Challenge. We’ll be working towards a TWO MINUTE PLANK in this month’s challenge!
These are monthly 30 Day Challenges focusing on a different body part each month. I did a little poll over on Instagram and most of you voted Abs so I thought this would be a good starting point. But we have so much more to come including Glutes, Arms and Legs, even a challenge dedicated to inner thighs as this came up a lot in my Instagram polls. We also have some equipment challenges for gym goers coming later in the year.
I love a challenge. I thrive off challenge. I succeed with challenge. But I’m pretty rubbish at motivating myself to workout and thrive so much more when I have someone keeping me accountable. Which is why I wanted to create these challenges for us to do together, and keep each other accountable throughout.
In this months challenge we will start with a 10 second plank and work our way to a 2 minute plank and 100 crunches. Including many sit-ups, v sits, leg lifts, straight leg sit ups and Russian twists along the way. If you’re stuck with any of the exercises just give them a quick Google but I will be demonstrating them all on my Instagram as of course I’ll be doing the challenge with you.
These challenges will take as little as 2 minutes out of your day but I can promise you they are so worth it. Obviously I’ve already tested this challenge and could not believe that I could do a two minute plank after struggling with a 20 second one a few weeks before!
Remember to take some before photos before you start, you’ll be amazed how many changes you’ll see from just a few minutes a day.
