This month, as part of a Mother’s Day campaign, LighterLife Fast have challenged me. They’ve challenged me to get my Mum out of her comfort zone, to do something she’s always wanted to do, but maybe not had the confidence to do so. With the help of LighterLife Fast. Now that was a tricky one, I had to ask Mum questions but without giving too much away. I was adamant the final task was going to be a surprise. And there will be a post on Sunday, all about what we got up to.
As part of the #ICanDoThat challenge, Mum and I have also been carrying out the LighterLife Fast together. Now Mum doesn’t need to lose weight whatsoever but she did want to combat bloat and try and stop the urge to snack at her desk during the day. I want to lose a little weight before summer and also suffer from bloating. I think in my case it may be because I don’t drink enough water. I’ve been trying to drink at least 5-6 glasses a day this month so I can see if that makes a difference too.
Mum was looking forward to starting the challenge, but was a little unsure about the products I’ve harped on and on about. The Strawberry Shakes are my favourite, I’ve said this again and again, but Mum hates milk, and Strawberry flavoured things… I told her my little trick of mixing it up early and popping it in the fridge for an hour, she took it one step further and put it in the freezer. And guess what? She loved it. Much to my dismay however as I was hoping she’d give them to me (hehe). Mum has already done a few Fast Days using the LighterLife Fast Packs and already feels much less bloated and hasn’t been hungry throughout the day either.
I’m sure the Light Bites Snack Range have been helping combat hunger cravings as these can be used alongside the LighterLife Fast Packs as an extra. I’ve been enjoying these as snacks on non-fast days too. Especially the ‘popped chips’. A new favourite of mine (not part of the Light Bites range) is the Cranberry and Raspberry Bar, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying these as an afternoon snack this month. They’re so filling and nutritious too.
LighterLife Fast have helped Mum and I in many ways ahead of our challenge. It’s so nice not to feel bloated 24/7, which would have made our challenge quite difficult/uncomfortable. It’s been nice doing the LighterLife Fast with my Mum as we can motivate each other to stick to the Fast. And give each other tips about getting the best out of the products. I’m looking forward to seeing how we feel after the next couple of weeks. Especially as I’ve really been careful about what I eat on the non-fast days too.
